In fact, I kind of quit Blogger for many years and experimented with blog scripts like MT that I could install. But I recently went back to Blogger because I wanted to put stuff up quickly and immediately, without having to go through the torment of altering templates, uploading a buzillion folders, and CHMOD'ing a hundred files. Plus, what drew me back to Blogger was its strong sense of community. I love the fact that there is a navbar option. It makes me feel as if my site isn't just a lone blog out in cyberspace, but part of something larger. I like how a blogger blog gets a lot of visits from other blog publishers. It's far easier to impress people who don't know anything about blogs with a .com domain. I even delete a lot of comments from non-bloggers. I find it hard enough as it is to get to know a person online. A blog with lurkers having no online identity is pretty boring to read. Yahoo is also doing a great job from the community point of view. A lot of first time bloggers but yahoo.360 has great tools for reading each other. The various updates from my contacts(like rss feeds from their other blogs) are sorted by time. One can even opt to view one kind of content from a specific group of friends. ---------------- http://therpg.blogspot.com (new) | http://fototour.blogspot.com | http://blog.360.yahoo.com/Factuurexpress | http://gaby.wordpress.com | http://my.opera.com/gabydewilde"
