READER RESPONSE: HOME-THEATER DILEMMA: PROJECTOR OR TV?
OVERHEARD ON TALKBACK: For those of us stuck in what I like to think of as "reality", shelling out 2 to 5 grand on an new tv just isn't going to happen, not to mention the $300 to $400 bulb replacement fee every couple of years (based on a 3hr/day usage a 2000 hour bulb is going to last approx 1.8 years). However, if you really have your heart set on a larger than life total package viewing experience, may I suggest a DIY projector...
